David Pritchard, 48, of Bullard was attempting a left turn when he rode into the path of an oncoming vehicle, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson.

Pritchard, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle. He died of his injuries a short time later at East Texas Medical Center.

The driver of the other vehicle, Patricia Austin, 45, Tyler also was hospitalized. The wreck occurred at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, on Highway 64 at Spur 248 in Smith County.
