Brook Hill bids for four titles in-a-row; Baker and Moss take turns in 61-12 win

Harris is the leading tackler for The Guard at linebacker, and also starts on the offensive line. SEAGOVILLE – The Brook Hill Guard began it’s road to a district four-peat with a domineering 61-12, win over Garland Christian this past Friday night at a neutral site in Seagoville at J.R. Henry Stadium due to unplaybale fields at Garland Christian.
The Guard, led by the return of a full-strength Tyler Baker at quarterback, rolled up 28 points in the first quarter with Baker running for two TD’s, Jeremey Chappell running a punt back, and J.B. Moss running in from threeyards. Moss kicked three PAT conversions and Cory Scheel ran in for the 28-0, one quarter eye-opener.

Baker and Moss traded roles in the second quarter scores as Moss threw an touchdown to Baker from 20 yards. Baker returned the favor with a 53-yard strike to Moss, and a 47-0, halftime cushion. Baker and alternated between quarterback and running back.
Vince Beltran accounted for both the Garland Christian touchdown on runs of 2 and 46-yards. He finished with 99-yards rushing for Garland Christian (1-5, 0-1).
The Guard elected to run the ball, as well as the clock in the final half with scores from Moss from one-yard, and Zachary Cool with a one-yard plunge.
David Eichelberg broke loose for a 33-yard scoring run to finish out The Guard scoring..
Brook Hill (5-1; 1-0) will go to Tyler this Friday night to play the All Saints Trojans.
