Lady Guard earns district volleyball split

DALLAS - After dropping game one, the Brook Hill volleyball team rebounded in the second game and rolled on from there to take down Dallas Shelton in four games last week.

The Lady Guard won 22-25, 25-14, 25- 14, 25-9.

Brook Hill was led by Amy Joe Teague and Baylee Rozell, who finished with eight and six kills, respectively.

BULLARD - Richardson-Canyon Creek has been to the TAPPS final four the past three seasons, and for good reason.

Canyon Creek jumped on the Lady Guard on Monday afternoon, to take a three-game sweep at Herrington gymnasium.

The Lady Guard started off the week on Monday losing to Richardson-Canyon Creek. Canyon Creek won 11-25, 9-25, and 7-25.

Brook Hill (3-2), got eight digs and two kills from Mary Caroline Selden, six digs and 10 assists from Erica Eden. Freshman, Baylee Rozell chipped in with six digs, four kills, and three tip kills.

Amy Jo Teague was a force as well with six digs and three kills.

Canyon Creek made it a sweep on the day as well, winning the JV contest, 18-25, and 7-25.

The Lady Guard (3-3), will next play Lakehill Prep at Herrington gymnasium, Thursday with the JV playing at 5 p.m.
