Brook Hill seventh loses to Big Sandy; Eighth-graders blow-out Crossroads
BULLARD - The Brook Hill middle school football teams split games this past Thursday at Herrington Field.
The seventh-grace Guard took a 30-14, lsetback to the Big Sandy WIldcats in the opener of the day.
Later on, the eighth-grade Guard strolled to a, 40-6 domination over Crossroads.
The seventh graders got outstanding games from quarterback, McCray Fletcher with four completions for 97-yards, and two scores.
Guard wide receiver, Robert Brasher was on the receiving end three times, for 81-yards, and two touchdowns.
The Brook Hill defense had a good outing as the Wildcats defense scored on two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, while the offense punched in for a one-yard, QB sneak.

Hunter Scamahorn at quarterback was a force with seven completions for 44-yards, adding 95 yards rushing for two TD’s.
Running backs, Jonah Gonsalez rumbled for 86 yards and one touchdown, and Blake Maddox added on another 41-yards running, and made seven tackles.
Other defensive standouts were Ryan Young with 16 tackles (three for losses), Logan Smith returned a fumble for a tally, and Jonathan Cox made one interception and returned the catch for a Brook Hill score.
The Brook Hill middle school improves to 3- 0 with the win, and will next play against Red Oak- Life Christian Academy, at Herrington Field, Thursday. with a 5 p.m. kickoff slated.
