Partin, Taylor wed in Jacksonville
      Kelly Anise Partin of Troup and Jake Logan Taylor of Jacksonville were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9. 2009, at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas. The bride is the daughter of Darin Partin of Troup and Cindy Partin of Dallas; and the granddaughter of Elray and Clydene Partin of Troup and of Cleo and Molly Nichols of Jena, La., and the late Ann Nichols.

Parade applications due Oct. 15
      A parade, live music and other entertainment, vendor booths and more will be featured at the Red White & Blue Festival sponsored by the Bullard Area Chamber of Commerce which will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in downtown Bullard.

Clinic moved to Cain Street
      The Mission House medical clinic has moved to 307 Cain St., in Bullard. The clinic assists uninsured adult primary care patients by appointment only from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month. For information or to make an appointment, call (903) 894-0109. A nominal fee will be charged for services and laboratory tests.

Fish fry slated for Saturday
      The Red Neck Fish Fry, sponsored by the Dogwood City Lake Community Baptist Church will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, on the lot between the church and the Exxon station at 22112 Highway 155 South. Featured entertainment includes Steve McGranahan, the ‘World’s Strongest Redneck,” and a concert by the Shana Strange Band.
