Lady Panthers beat Van, lose to Lindale
The pre-district tune-up continued last week for the Lady Panthers volleyball team as they split games with Van and Lindale.
Bullard (17-8), played at Henderson this past Tuesday.
Bullard will open league play on Saturday, as Chapel Hill comes to Panther gymnasium. The freshmen begin at 10 a.m., followed by the JV at 11 a.m. and the varsity set to start at noon.

BULLARD - The Lady Panthers took out Van in three-straight games this last week at Panther gymnasium.
The Lady Panthers took advantage of 37 unforced errors by the Lady Vandals to cruise to the wins of 25-12, 25-12, and 25-12.
Seniors, Valerie Roberts, and Nikki Coleman continue to mirror each other with almost identical statistics.
Roberts led with seven kills, a pair of service aces, and 10 digs. Coleman pounded out five kills, five back-line winners, and nine digs.
Bullard’s, Brittany Glover also turned in a strong performance for Bullard, chipping in with five kills, three aces and two solo blocks.
Defensively, Bullard got a boost from the play of Heather Camp. Camp with 10 digs, 10 assists two kills and an ace.
LINDALE – The Lady Panthers lost to the Lindale Lady Eagles last Friday afternoon at the Lindale High School gymnasium.
Lindale won in three straight games, 25-16, 25-21, and 25-20.
“We didn’t play as well as we should be at this point in the season,” said Bullard head coach, Kala Morrow.. “We had some great rallies and really good plays but we just didn’t take advantages of opportunities as they came to us.
“Our inconsistency has been our downfall all year,” added the coach.
For Bullard, Ariel Hamby had two aces, eight assists, and nine digs, while Ashlee Shidler, two aces, two solo blocks, and 10 digs.
Seniors, Valarie Roberts (eight kills, and nine digs), Nikki Coleman (five kills, 17 digs), and Ashley Ricci (three kills, one ace, and two solo blocks), added to their stats for the season in the loss.
Lindale was sparked by Kaitlyn White with 12 kills, seven blocks, and nine digs.
The junior varsity also suffered a rare loss against Lindale, losing two of three games.
The freshmen team however won their match with the Lady Eagles winning in a decisive third game.
The Lady Panthers lost the first match 22-25, but rallied to win the last two matches, 25-17, and 25-19.
