Stephen F. Austin University sophomore, Noah Claytor, a former Bullard High School student, received the $1,500 Music Merit Scholarship.

The Music Merit Scholarship is awarded to a student with a declared music major and one who is well-rounded, enrolled in a college or university and is a legal resident of East Texas.

He is the son of Susan Claytor.
