County clean up program extended
County officials announced today that they will extend the duration of the County-Wide Clean Up Event by one week, due to the program’s success so far. The event which was originally scheduled to take place Sept. 7-13, is now extended through Sunday, Sept. 20. During the event, citizens of Smith County can obtain a voucher to dispose of three cubic yards of waste at no cost.
Citizens can participate at their convenience during the two-week period. Vouchers are available at all of the Justice of the Peace and Constable Precinct Offices in the County. The vouchers are good for up to three cubic yards of solid waste and bulk items to be disposed of at the Greenwood Farms Landfill at no cost to the citizen.
For locations or directions to THE local J.P. and Constable Precinct Offices call Pct. 2 Constable Andy Dunklin at (903) 590-4840.
