For Red, White & Blue Festival slated for Nov. 7 in Bullard

The Red White & Blue Festival sponsored by the Bullard Area Chamber of Commerce will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in downtown Bullard.

A parade will kick off the festival events. Applications to enter the parade are available online at wwwbullardtexaschamber (click on redwhiteandblue). To apply, fill out the form, which includes name, address, name of business to be represented, phone number and if a float or other parade activity is planned. Forms may be mailed to Larry Melhart, 904 W. Main, Ste. A, Bullard, TX 75757 or faxed to (903) 894-4210.

Other festival activities will include a carnival, a petting zoo, vendors, a car show, live music, a mechanical bull and more.

This year's key note speaker is Joan Hallmark of KLTV, known for her Freedom Fighter series, along with her extensive experience in the television industry.

"Bullard loves hosting this small-town, big- hearted salute to our soldiers," said Bullard Mayor Teresa Adams-Wilks, "We want them to know we appreciate their service."

Vendor booths also will be available. A 10x10 arts and crafts vendor booth will cost $35 (or $60 with a cover for one space; and $70 (or $120 with a cover) for two spaces if rented before Thursday, Oct. 1. Spaces will cost $50 (or $70 with a cover) for one space and $100 (or $140 with cover) for two spaces after Oct. 1. Tables will cost an addition $6 each.

Food vendor booths will be cost $250 for each space and electricity will cost an additional $15 per space.

Checks for booths should be made payable to the Bullard Area Chamber of Commerce. All application are reviewed and no refunds will be returned once applications have been accepted. Applications will be due by Thursday, Oct. 15. Late applications will be subject to additional fees. For information about booth rental, call (903) 521-9309 or write to P.O.
