After dropping the first game 17-25, the Lady Panthers stormed back to take wins by the count of 25-17, 25-20 and 25- 11.
"This was such a good win for the girls," said head coach Kala Morrow.. "After dropping the first game we battled back with tough serving, totaling six of our 20 aces. "T
he Lady Panthers got a strong showing from Brittany Glover, Nikki Coleman, and Valarie Roberts in games two and three to turn things around.
In the fourth game, the Lady Dragons led 10-1 and working to finish the match but Ariel Hamby did a great job of setting up and running the offense to settle the team and seal the win..
"Ariel stepped up and did a great job in the final game for us and it was a total team effort and we showed the fight our girls can have as a team,." Morrow added.
Statistically, Glover finished with 10 kills, and Coleman followed her with nine spikes and 15 digs. Hamby and Roberts served up six service aces apiece, with Hamby adding 25 assists. Roberts added in eight kills, 19 digs to go with her half-dozen aces.
Ashlee Shidler was also a factor with two solo blocks and five kils in the win as Bullard improved to 2-0 on the season.
"After starting with wins over Jacksonville and Nacogdoches has been good for us but we still have a long way to go before district starts," Morrow said in closing.
The junior varsity beat Nacogdoches, 25-13, and 25-10, and hold down a 4-1 record early on in the season.
