After a runner-up season to the Spring Hill Panthers, the post season honors continue to be a disappointment to the Bullard faithful.

Nick Rumbelow was the only Panther selected to the top two teams from Bullard, for All East Texas and that was a second team pick on the infield.

At the plate, Nick was a .400 hitter while playing every position on the infield except catcher. Granted the second team for the infield was justified, I just want to know how you ignore a perfect game, and one of East Texas' best ERA's from the top pitching list?

Other Panthers named to the honorable mention team were Charlie Moore, Nolan Rose, Jacob Whatley and Steven Langston.

Rumbelow was also the only UIL Class 3A all-state candidate for the Panthers.

Nick's all-state award was as third team pitcher. Go figure.

The Panthers season ended in the first round of the playoffs with a one-game loss to Jasper.
