Champ Camp on slate for BHS and local teams
Jason Hopkins and the Bullard High School volleyball team will be hosting the Champ Camp, July 23-25 for high school teams, and players.
Each daily session will last from 8 a.m. until noon, and the cost for the camp is $65. The cost covers camp T-shirt, water bottle, trainer fees, and camp instruction.
Campers are instructed to wear comfortable tennis shoes or volleyball specific shoes; shorts; comfortable T-shirt; knee pads, and any protective gear such as ankle and knee braces.
Campers will also need to bring water (no sodas), an extra T-shirt, healthy snack during break, extra hair ties, and a positive attitude.
Hopkins is head coach for the 2008, National Champion, Brookhaven College in Farmer's Branch. This will be the second annual Champ Camp at BHS, and Hopkins knowledge in about building strong and successful volleyball team.
Hopkins has coached several All- American players and experienced success from his very first year at Brookhaven. He was named 2004 and 2005 NJCAA National Coach of the Year ad is an active member of AVCA, USA Volleyball, and NTR Volleyball, and serves as a Board Member of the Texas/New Mexico Two- Year College Coaches Association.
