BULLARD - Brook Hill pitcher, Jake Beam started out strong on the mound as The Guard took a 8-4 win over Garland Christian this past week at Herrington Ball Park.

The Guard started out the bottom of the first inning with three runs, and came back with another four runs in the third stanza for all the runs needed for the win.

Garland Christian's bats finally came around in the fourth inning as they rattled off four runs, for a 7-4, score.

Chris Dawson came on to relieve Beam on the mound and finished out the game allowing no runs.

Brook Hill tagged on one more run for insurance in the sixth inning.

Jimmy Johnson, J.B. Moss, and Cody Bryant each had doubles in the game, among the seven Brook Hill hits in the contest.

A scheduled game with The Shelton School of Dallas was postponed last week due to weather, and the make up for that game has yet to be determined.

Brook Hill (10-7; 4-1), played Irving-The Highlands on Monday but the results were not available at press time.
