Jacksonville College sophomore Taylor Hodges, a business major from Bullard, earned a medallion and a certificate from the All Texas Academic Team last month.

The medallion was awarded to the top students in two-year colleges in the state who were chosen for academic achievement, exemplary community service and the quality of numerous essay submissions.

Hodges serves as president of the Alpha Beta Alphachapter of Phi Beta Kappa International Honor Society and has been a member of the junior Olympic skeet-shooting team.

Hodges is scheduled to graduate in May with a associate's degree in science.
