Bullard Community Library welcomed a new librarian last month; but, to make it official, the Friends of Bullard Community Library threw the new librarian,Joanne Buendtner, a welcome reception.

Among those in attendance were the library Board of Directors, the Friends of Bullard Community Library and many patrons and children.

Jane Purtle, library worker, counted more than 80 visitors to the reception.

Buendtner said she is amazed by the recognition she has received since taking the position last month.

"I can't believe all this support comes from such a small town," she said.
