BULLARD - Brook Hill got their second district win in as many games this past Tuesday night as The Guard beat Richardson Canyon Creek, 73-30, in TAPPS 4-3A boys action at Herrington gym.

Junior Jeremey Chappelle led all scorers in the game with 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the process. Courtney Thomas, a junior post added a double double himself with 12 points and 11 boards in the run-away.

The Guard jumped to a 18-3, first quarter lead and stretched it to a 35-12, halftime advantage. Holding Canyon Creek to single-digits in all but the final quarter, Brook Hill rolled up a 57-15 lead after three periods, and finished off the 43-point win outscoring Canyon Creek, 16-13 in the final period.

The win gives The Guard a 14-8 season slate and 2-0 in league play with The Shelton School of Dallas slated for Saturday.

Brook Hill's junior varsity got 18 points from Zachary Cool and another 15 points from Tallen Harris to lead to a 48-24, junior varsity win earlier in the afternoon.
