BULLARD - The Brook Hill boys basketball teams made it a two-game district sweep this past Saturday afternoon with wins over The Shelton School of Dallas.

The varsity won by a 59-40 score, and earlier at the lower school gymnasium, the junior varsity took a 32-21, victory.

Mason Spradlin nailed a first quarter 3-pointer to make it 14-4 in the first period, as The Guard tok a 20-11 lead.

Juniors, Jeremey Chappelle, and Courtney Thomas led a 9-2 run for a 27-11 advantage before Spradlin made a steal and a floor-length pass to Austin Langemeier for an easy twopoints and a 29-13 lead.

Both teams swapped out buckets in the third period with 11 points each, but the damage was already done by The Guard, holding a 44-29 lead-way.

Chappelle and Thomas commanded in the paint area down the stretch while point guard, Tyler Baker made a steal and a lay-in for a 54-38 cushion. Spradlin made another steal moments later and finished the scoring with another lay-up.

Chappelle led Brook Hill in scoring with 17 points while Thomas and Baker chipped in with 12 points apiece for the win.
