BULLARD - Brook Hill's staved off a late run by Richardson-Canyon Creek, but survived to give the Lady Guard a district first win, 32- 31 win this past Tuesday night at Herrington gym.

It was a nail-biter from the get-go after Canyon Creek took an early 15-11, first period lead.

The Lady Guard defense stymied Canyon Creek in the second period to one-point, as the Lady Guard went up at halftime, 21-16.

The Lady Guard held a 27-22 lead going into the final quarter, but Canyon Creek scored nine points to take a one-point lead before Erica Eden paced the Lady Guard scoring with 18 points, while only four Canyon Creek players earned a spot in the scorebook.
