Hughes: All around champion

Haven Hughes of Bullard was named the Regional All Around Champion of all Level 8 gymnasts her age in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico and Wyoming.

The Regional Championship competition was hosted by Metroplex Gymnastics at the Plano Convention Center.

Hughes and Hansen did what every good gymnast does, four steady, consistent routines.

Each girl remained focused on just what was going on at the time, even in spite of Apryl's slight but quite annoying nagging rib strain.

Both girls look forward to a few months of learning new skills before hopefully trying their hands at the next level.

Hansen:
