Lady Panthers win playoff

The Bullard Lady Panthers may have even surprised themselves when things turned around so late in the game.

Valarie Roberts stepped to the plate facing off with Sabine who led 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh.

Just to make a hit would have brought her teammate who waited on third base home but instead Roberts sent the ball over the leftfield and out of the park giving the Lady Panther on third and herself plenty of time to cross home plate.

The play brought the team to 5-4 and gave them the victory in the Class 3A Region II area playoff game.
