Bullard Panthers win District 14-3 A baseball

The Bullard Panthers baseball team defeated Chapel Hill 5-2 to claim the 14-3A District Championship title.

Jacob Whatley went the distance to gain his eighth win of the season.

Whatley allowed just 4 hits while striking out 6 and walking 3.

Offensively Bullard was led by Whatley going 3 for 4 at the plate; Nick Rumbelow had 2 hits while Lance Anding, Charlie Moore, Travis Eudey and Austin Camp all had one hit.

"This is an extremely talented group of young men who are a pleasure to coach," Coach Ronnie Dent said, "They have set goals for themselves and the team, and are focused."

Coach Dent congratulated the team for achieving one of the goals they've been working towards.

"They always make things interesting and enjoy the game of baseball," Dent said.

The win brings Bullard's district record to 8-0 and 16-6 overall.
