Lindale -- Prayer Team 4 Kids, a locally based charity, is hosting the nationally known Christian music group, The Katinas, in concert on Saturday, April 26th at 7 p.m. at New Life Worship Center in Tyler.
With a lifetime of making music as a tight-knit family, this quintet of brothers is without question the premier vocal group in Christian music today.
The Katinas, who make their home in Nashville, Tenn., were recently featured on the Christmas tour with Christian recording artist Michael W. Smith.
Joining them on the fourteen city tour was Melinda Doolittle, one of the top 10 contestants on American Idol last season.
"Anyone who has ever attended a Katinas concert knows how incredible they are," stated Ken Cauthen, executive director of Prayer Team 4 Kids. "We are excited to have them in concert here in East Texas."
Prayer Team 4 Kids provides immediate prayer support for families whose children experience an immediate, life-threatening medical crisis.
While based in Lindale, this national organization operates a 24 hour, seven day a week toll free hotline 800- 980-PRAY (7729) that parents can access when their child becomes seriously injured or ill.
The concert, benefiting Prayer Team 4 Kids, will help provide funds to assist familiesin need while their child is in an ICU setting.
The Katinas will help promote Prayer Team 4 Kids at their concerts this year as they tour across the country.
The group plans to visit local children hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses on behalf of Prayer Team 4 Kids.
Tickets for The Katinas concert are $10 and are available at LifeWay Christian Stores, The Scroll, or online at www.evangelismtickets.com.
