Staff Reports

The Brook Hill School drama students are putting in final rehearsals for their annual production.

This year's performance will be the worldfamous, "The King and I," with two performances on campus May 1 and 3 and a third at Tyler's Bergfeld Park on May 9.

"This will be the third performance they do at the Bergfeld ampitheater," said director and drama instructor Glen Ballard, who is admittedly proud of his ever-developing department.

"Here at Brook Hill we have a really good number of talented students that are artists at heart. The fine arts departments gives them an outlet to explore their talents and creativity."

"The King and I" is a musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Its script is based on the book "Anna and the King of Siam" by Margaret Landon.

For more information or to buy tickets for a performance, call the school at 903-894-5000.
