Key Club members receive scholarships

Geesing and Gardner

Two members of the Bullard High School Key Club received special recognition this weekend at the Texas-Oklahoma District Convention.

James Gardner and Jessica Geesing each were awarded scholarships on behalf of the T-O Kiwanis District Foundation.

Gardner received the Melvin Cowart Scholarship valued at $1500 while Geesing received the Key Club scholarship valued at $1,000.

The students were selected in preliminary screening from more than 125 applicants; interviewing 80 finalists the foundation granted 49 awards totaling over $45,000.
