Kids for character

March was the month for emphasizing "Self-Reliance" at Bullard Elementary School. Choosing the student in each class who works independently and is confident was each teacher's challenge this month. As volunteers met with the counselor, they discussed how self-reliant people believe in their own abilitites to get the job done and to do it well. Officials and volunteers alike recognize everyone has special talents can develop abilities in other areas when faced with difficult challenges. It's important that students learn and grow from our mistakes. The following "Kids of Character" winners have shown these "Self-Reliant" traits at school this year: Kindergarten: Tyler Allen, Yulisa Santillan, Alyssa Lukerm, Christian Johnson, Westley Cassady, Isabelle Gehling and Harrsion House. First grade: Georgia Pendergrass, James Shipp, Fabian Jimenez, Cameron Bridges, Dakota Brown, Parker Bradshaw and Logan Wheeler. Second grade: Emmy Pinson, Anna Luker, Connor Hogan, Parker Glass, Seth Brown, Lizbeth Morales and Brittany Heyder. Third grade: Taylor Marshall, Tre'mont Crayton, Austin Davis, Ronn Matula, Trevor Long, Shay Mayer and Caleb Wall.
