Panthers, Ladies take top spot at meet

The varsity Panthers and Lady Panther Track teams placed first overall, at the Bullard Panther Relays on Thursday.
The meet was the first that the varsity Panthers were able to compete in on home ground in years.
The ladies won with a total of 225 points.
The girls individual rankings are as follows:
Ashley Ricci placed 1st in the high jump.
In the discus Ashlee Shidler placed 1st; Kailee Schmitz, 4th and Destiny Fawver, 6th.
In the shot put Emmy Long claimed 1st place; Kailee Schmitz, 2nd and Destiny Fawver, 4th.
For triple jump Deborah Thompson placed 1st; Whitney Worthen, 2nd and Ariel Hamby, 5th.
Deborah Thompson achieved 3rd place; T'ni Johnson, 5th and Ariel Hamby placed 6th in the 100-meter dash.
In the 200-meter dash T'ni Johnson placed 5th and Breanna Hinton, 6th.
Tabitha Rhodes placed 3rd and Jordan Demoss, 5th for the 400-meter dash .
In the 800-meter Run Tabitha Rhodes ranked 3rd place and Melody Lawson, 4th.
For the 1600-meter run Ashley Phillips came in 2nd and Hillary Kempton, 3rd.
In the 3200-meter run Hillary Kempton placed 2nd and Ashley Phillips, 3rd.
The 400-meter and 800- meter relay team consisting of Ariel Hamby, Deborah Thompson, Breanna Hinton and Valerie Roberts placed 1st.
The 1600-meter relay team of Tabitha Rhodes, Melody Lawson, Ashley Ricci and Amber Saxon placed 2nd.
Whitney Worthen placed 2nd and Amber Saxon, 3rd for their efforts in the 100-meter hurdles.
In the 300-meter hurdles Amber Saxon placed 1st and Jordan Demoss claimed 3rd.
Gold medals were won by the following varsity boys as follows:
Brandon Davis, Shot Put; David French, Discus; Charlie Moore, Triple Jump; Daniel Howard, Long Jump; Jose Torres, High Jump; Shane Paige, Pole Vault; Keaton Boyd for both the 3200 and 1600- meter Run.
The team of Daniel Howard, Lance Anding, Charlie Moore, Chad Hollie for the 4x200 relay; Daniel Howard, Lance Anding, Charlie Moore, Brandon Renfrow for the mile relay and Cameron Agnew for the 110 and 300 Hurdles.
Others receiving medals included Joseph Andrews, JT Evans, Doug Lake, Geoff Dick, Brandon Beavers, Willie Gordon, Ryan Rumbelow, Logan Wiggins, and Sean Tadlock.
The JV Boys took 2nd place with gold medals going to Eric Benton for 800 Meter Run; Blaine Faulk, 300-meter hurdles; Steven Langston, triple jump and Koby Greene for pole vault.
Others receiving medals were Dakota Robinson, Dalton Simonek, Chris Braaten, Vinnie Cottingham, Austin Conant, Colby Stone, Marquez Franklin, Shaq Marable, Cale Pinion, Jackson Peavy, Colten Sheffield, and David Diduch.
The teams will be competing on Thursday and Friday at the District track meet in Canton.
