Rozell earns second All-State
Scoring 274 points in district play she averaged 27.4 points per game. Rozell scored 72 three-pointers her final season at Brook Hill, 36 of which were made in district games. She shoots with an accuracy of 66 percent at the free throw line. Rozell's averages per game are 8.3 rebounds; 2.7 assists; 4.8 steals and 1 block. These are the statistics that earned her Most Valuable Player for District 3A but more than that, Rozell was named first team All State for the second year in a row. "I was excited when I found out I made All State," Rozell said. "I was also surprised I made it two years in a row." Rozell is looking forward to the all-star game in San Antonio. She plans to attend UT Tyler, where she will continue playing sports. Rozell's teammates also earned recognition in district selections. Senior Katy Hicks and sophomore Erica Eden were chosen for first team All District. Seniors Victoria Beall and Gretchen Puffer were named to first team All District. Honorable mention was given to freshmen M.C. Seldon and Amy Jo Teague. |
