Tapps District vocal contest

Congratulations to The Brook Hill School Upper School Mixed Choir, directed by Patti Eden, who competed in the TAPPS District Vocal Concert and Sight-Reading Contest on the campus of Grace Community School on Feb. 26. The choir, consisting of ninth through twelfth grade students, performed in the large ensemble category and received Superior ratings from all three of the judges. Some comments from the judges were "Good stage presence," "Very nice tone, balance, and blend," "Beautiful phrasing throughout." The choir will now advance to the state vocal competition in Belton in April. Students participating were Marcus Bennett, Timmy Bennett, Sarah Blair, Lindsey Bowen, David Brown, Gordon Chang, Haylie Cozart, Chris Dawson, Hollyne Dublin, Erica Eden, Christine Feng, Sallie Gill, Jesse Harris, Heather Henrichson, Carley Howard, Andre Huang-Hsieh, Landry Humphries, Madison Humphries, Tessa Hutchison, Jonathan Jones, Hong Soon Kim, Ashley McClelland, Stacey Moore, Michelle Nie, Yasu Ohmukai, Kip Picarella, DA Rubin, Austin Sperry, Steven Stanley, Preston Swink, Kyle Tabler, Angie Tarango and David Wangner.
