Gymnasts compete in Florida
      Texas East Gymnastics traveled to Orlando, Fla., to compete in the Magical Classic Gymnastics Competition. With Disneyworld as an added draw, this Florida meet is well attended. There were athletes from all over the United States as well as Canada and Mexico.

Boys' basketball ends with defeat at hands of Pittsburg

      The Panthers ended their season in the Regional Quarterfinal round against Pittsburg 71-49 recently. The team was led in scoring by Lance Anding with 18; Daniel Howard, 8; Josiah Rosebury, 8; Brandon Beavers, 7; Charlie Moore, 6; Nick Rumbelow, 1 and Brandon Davis 1.

LUST SIGNS WITH BROOKHAVEN COLLEGE

      Whitney Lust recently signed to play volleyball with Brookhaven College in Dallas. Lust served as the Lady Panthers team captain in 2007, was named First Team All- District and Academic All- District. She was also nominated for All-East Texas and All- State awards.
