Brook Hill Academic Counselor Brian Nelson stands with Lauren Langsjoen, recipient of the DAR Good Citizen award. Langsjoen, a senior at The Brook Hill School, was recognized by the Mary Tyler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution as The Brook Hill School's 2008 DAR Good Citizen. She was presented her award during a recognition tea on February 12, 2008 at Willowbrook Country Club in Tyler. Being named a DAR Good Citizen was a result of her demonstration of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. In addition to her award, Lauren was invited to participate in an impromptu essay competition resulting in her being selected for the chapter's highest honor-a $500 college scholarship.
