Lady Panthers sweep Lobo tournament

The Bullard Lady Panthers opened up the Longview Lady Lobo Classic Tournament with two wins against the Mt. Pleasant Lady Tigers and the New Diana Lady Eagles.

In the first game Bullard defeated the Lady Tigers with a score of 9-0.

Offensive Leaders were Alayna Kipp who went 4 for 4 with 1 double and 3 singles; Erin Kipp went 2 for 3 including 2 singles; Allison Burton hit for 2 for 4 at the plate with a triple.

Erin Kipp pitched the Lady Panthers to the first win with a strong performance facing 20 batters, giving up 2 hits, 7 strikeouts, and 1 walk.

The second game the Lady Panthers claimed a 5-0 victory over the Lady Eagles.

Offensively the girls were led by Valarie Roberts who went 2 for 4 with a home run in the fourth; Erin Kipp went 2 for 4 as well while Allison Burton managed to do the same including 2 doubles.

Erin Kipp also played her part in the win facing 25 batters, giving up 1 hit with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Lady Panthers continued their winning streak the following day of the tournament with two more wins.

The Lady Panthers defeated the Southwood 5A team out of Louisiana with a score of 2-0.

Team leaders offensively were Valarie Roberts, Lara Buysman, and Alayna Kipp who all went 1-3 at the plate.

Erin Kipp pitched the girls to another win with a 10 strikeout performance while allowing only 2 walks and 1 hit.

In the second game the Bullard Panthers faced the OCS also from Louisiana and walked away victorious with a score of 4-0.

Offensive Leaders were Alayna Kipp, Mandy Gillard, and Lara Buysman all who went 2-4, while Erin Kipp finished up on the mound for the team with another 10 strikeout performance, while only given up 1 walk and allowing 5 hits.

The Lady Panthers are now 4-0 in tournament play.
