Students lauded for perseverance

Listed below are the elementary students who were recognized for displaying the character trait of "perseverance. "

These students stick with it when the going gets tough and they never give up, said Bullard Elementary School officials.

"Overcoming obstacles is a very valuable lesson to learn and we're so proud of these students," said principal Michelle Hurst. "You can see their individual pictures displayed in the hallway near the school office."

Hurst thanked Chicken Express for providing a recognition gift for winners.

Kindergarten: Savanna Rich, Emmanuel Duran, Brittany Wheeler, Ashley Wigart, Layni Welmaker, Nick Craver and Tanner Hathaway.

First grade: Bradley Cannon, Dominique Tennyson, Neil Hayes, Tanner Clark, Trent Taylor and Sara Powell.

Second grade: Ciara Chambliss, Jared Roddie, Molli Majors, Destinee Dixon, Yesenia Santillan, Anna Taylor and Vella Sharpless.

Third grade: Dalton Wells, Denton Ventress, Michael Dailey, Dylan Gilbert, Jenny Perez, Sadi Gray and Skylar Fox.
