New Year's baby has ties to the Bullard community Tyler welcomed one New Year's baby on Tuesday, born at 12:56 a.m. at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. Jayden Bryce Stratton wieghed 8 pounds, 9 ounces, said hospital spokeswoman Catherine Bradley. His parents, Misty and Jayson Stratton, live in Texarkana and work in Tyler. Grandparents are Peggy Faulkner of Winona and Troy C. and Millie Stratton of Bullard. "This baby was a healthy little boy, no problems, but it can be a heartache for those parents who have to go through the trial of a baby that has to be transported for intensive care," Bradley said. The hospital plans to open a neonatal intensive care unit sometime within the year, giving parents the ability to stay closer to home when their infant needs extra care, she said. Jason is a machine inspector for Red River Army Military Depot. Misty is a registered nurse at Trinity Mother Frances. "We're very happy that the community is supporting us in our effort to build a neonatal intensive care unit," Bradley said. |
