"When the going gets tough, the tough get going!" That's what Bullard Elementary students learned this month in their study of perseverance. Overcoming obstacles helps us to develop strong character and boost our self-esteem. We are so proud of our students that persevere and never give up when obstacles come our way that make life difficult for us. Thanks to Sonic for our free burger certificate. Kindergarten and first grade students at Bullard Primary School participated in character education classes on "COURAGE" during the month of December. The two students from each class who seemed to most represent the characteristics of courage were chosen by their teachers as December's "Kids of Character." Each child who was awarded this honor received a certificate and a bookmark.
