* Westbound I-20 at SH 31 near Longview

Traffic on westbound Interstate 20 is reduced to one lane near the SH 31 exit in Gregg County for a bridgerepair project. The speed limit in the work zone has been reduced to 45 mph. Motorists should use caution in and around the work zone.

TxDOT has also established an alternative route for motorists on westbound I-20. The route, which is marked with orange detour signs, guides traffic onto Estes Parkway, then SW Loop 281, then onto SH 31 where traffic returns to I-20.

TxDOT has also established a hotline for travelers, 1- 866-633-8106, which will be updated by personnel stationed on the Interstate to advise motorists of a backup caused by the lane closure.

* US 69/FM 344 Overpass in Bullard

Traffic on US 69 in Bullard has been reduced to one lane in each direction around its intersection with FM 344. While the speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph in the work zone, traffic on US 69 does not stop at FM 344.

Traffic on FM 344 must stop at the intersection, then again after crossing into the median if turning left or heading straight. Motorists should use caution in and around the work zone.

* SH 64/SH 135 Overpass in Arp

Traffic on both SH 64 and SH 135 north of Arp has been detoured onto the ramps around the SH 64 overpass in that location so the structure can be replaced. The work zone speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph. Motorists should use caution in and around the work zone.

"Christmas is one of the busiest holidays out on the highways," said TxDOT public information officer Larry Krantz. "You won't be the only one out on the road this holiday, so please, be prepared to share the road by leaving early, wearing your seatbelt, and driving friendly."
