"There is an AARP Driver Safety Course scheduled for 1- 5 PM on Nov. 3-4 and again on Nov. 10-11 in Tyler. This refresher course is designed for people 50 and older. Membership in AARP is not required. The course covers topics such as effects of aging and medication on driving skills, driving rules and crash prevention. The fee is $10 per person, however during the month of November, if you are an AARP member and bring another person the total fee is $10. Those who complete the course will receive a certificate and may be eligible for a discount on their automobile insurance. The instructors for these courses are AARP trained volunteers.
