Panthers outmatched by Gilmer Buckeyes, Bullard sub varsity look for first district win
Photo by Doc Smith The Bullard junior varsity offense gets set for the next play in their loss to Gilmer last Thursday night at Panther Stadium. BULLARD - Gilmer held Bullard scoreless while picking up a 34-0, win over the Panthers junior varsity on Thursday night at Panther Stadium.
The Buckeyes made four interceptions in the game, and scored on runs of 42-, 11-, 12- , and 37-yards for the win. The other score came on a 56-yard pass play for Gilmer to make it a 28-0, contest at the half.
Panthers quarterback, Matthew Irby and running back, Eric Benton had good runs in the game, and Kirk Bryant made a fumble recovery along with several tackles for the defense. Also aiding with good play upfront were twoway players, Blake Reicher and Colton Faulk.
