Bullard eighth grade 'A' shoots down Eagles

RUSK - The Bullard eighth grade 'A' team got a touchdown run and pass from quarterback, Houston Alexander to lead the 'A' team to a 16-0, win in the finale of middle school games played on Thursday at Eagle Stadium.

The eighth grade 'B' squad battled it out with the Eagles to a 0-0 tie, and the seventh grade 'A' and 'B' teams lost by the same scores of 16-0.

In the 'A' team win for the eighth graders, Alexander got the scoring started the scoring with a touchdown run, and amassed 82-yards rushing in the game for Bullard. Alexander also ran for the conversion, and the 8-0 lead.

Later in the game, Alexander hooked up with wide receiver, Sal Giuliano for a 46-yard scoring strike. The point-after run was again good for the 16-0, final score.

The Bullard middle school teams will get back to play on Thursday as they entertain Center with the seventh grade games starting at 5 p.m. and the eighth grade games set to follow at the Old Panther Stadium located on the middle school campus.
