Early last week, after a loss to Frankston, head coach, Kala Laningham decided if the girl's were not going to focus and play to their potential, they were going to at least be the in the best condition of anybody with district play coming up.

Frankston bested the Lady Panthers, in five games, losing 27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-11, and 16-14.

The Lady Panthers bounced back to sweep Palestine on Friday, 25-18, 25- 14, and 25-13.

Bullard will play Lindale at home Tuesday before playing Mineola on the road, Friday. Both matches set for 4:30 p.m. starts for he junior varsity.

Frankston 3, Bullard 2

Against Frankston on Tuesday afternoon, Angela Hill and Elisia Coleman had 29 and 25 service points respectively.

Calli Miller added 38 kills and 11 blocks, while Valarie Roberts pounded out 26 kills and Brittany Glover made four blocks.

"I am glad to see that we have got the heart to force a fifth game from two games down but we should have played better (against Frankston)," said Bullard head coach Kala Laningham. "But we have been a slow starting team all year long and this time it proved to be our detriment."

Bullard 3, Palestine 0

After regrouping with some sweat and ears at midweek practices, Bullard took out Palestine in three straight games, 25-18, 25-14, ad 25-13, on Friday afternoon in a game moved up due to Big Ike.

"The girl's started to come around and play to their true potential, and getting a fast start was key for us," said Laningham about the turnaround against Palestine. "You play towards peaking for district and the post-season, and if we can continue to work as hard as we did this past week, and continue to communicate on the floor, we could put it all together at the right time."

After putting in a little extra running, a heart-to-heart team talk, the Bullard outlook really changed their approach in the three-game sweep against Palestine.

Coleman and Ariel Hamby had three service aces each and Coleman adding six digs. Valarie Roberts pounded out 10 kills while Wyoming-bound Miller made five kills and 10 digs.

Glover added three key blocks for the Lady Panthers and setter, Heather Camp made 17 assists to go with 11 digs.
