Bullard 8th-grade 'A' team dominates Athens
      The Bullard Middle School football season kicked off this past Thursday afternoon with a twin, doubleheader at the old PAnther Stadium located on the Middle School campus. The Middle School will be back in action on Thursday as they take to the road to play at Troup with the seventh grade games starting at 5 p.m. and the eighth grade set to play immediately following.

Lady Guard sweeps district opener
      The Brook Hill Lady Guard came up short in twoof three matches this past week, but won the one that mattered in a playoff scenario. After opening the week of TAPPS competition with a loss to Class 5A, T.K. Gorman, and ending it with a setback at another 5A program, Grace Community, the Lady Guard hit the road and won their district opener over Lake hill.

Brook Hill gets to say Grace with hope
      BULLARD - The good Lord willing, and the creeks rise no more, Brook Hill just might get to play a football game this Friday night after two weeks off. The Guard will entertain what is becoming an intense local TAPPS rivalry with Grace Community, with a 7:30 kickoff set for Herrington Field on the Brook Hill School campus.

Sub-varsity Panthers look for right combo
      ATHENS - After two weeks of play, the Bullard junior varsity and freshmen teams are still looking for their first wins of the season. This past Thursday in Athens, the junior varsity took a 34-0, loss in the nightcap. In the earlier game, the freshmen Panthers fell by a count of 22-6.

Hornets sting Panthers in first loss
      BULLARD - Sometimes it just happens that way, and unfortunately for the Bullard Panthers it was one of those nights last Friday night. Four interceptions by the Hornets and one fumble recovery led the Hornets to a 21-0, halftime advantage, and eventual 28-0 shutout at Panther Stadium.

Panthers take on Troup for road test
      TROUP - The Bullard Panthers will hope to make the right adjustments this Friday night as they travel to Troup to face the deceptive, 0-3, Tigers. Bullard (1-1), had some offensive highlights this past Friday night in the 28-0 setback to an undefeated, Athens Hornets. The Panthers just could not get the ball in the end zone.

Lady Panthers spikers making turnaround
      Early last week, after a loss to Frankston, head coach, Kala Laningham decided if the girl's were not going to focus and play to their potential, they were going to at least be the in the best condition of anybody with district play coming up.

      SKY RANCH - After a fifth-place finish last week in the prestigious Tyler-Lee meet, the Lady Panthers came in sixth-place among twenty teams from all over Texas at the Grace Community/Sky Ranch cross country event this past Friday afternoon.
