Brook Hill hoops camp attracts players from all over East Texas
      The impact of new head basketball coach, Wally Dawkins has already made a vast change for the Brook Hill basketball program, as he and his staff held the first-ever, Wally Dawkins Brook Hill Basketball camp this past week. Two sessions daily last week accounted for 96 campers, 47in the younger group, 49 at the mid-day session at the Brook Hill Lower School Gymnasium.

Hargraves ready for new challenge at BHS
      Bullard High School recently hired Hank Hargraves from East Chambers to man the boy's basketball program for the Panthers for what we hope is a long, and successful career.

August gridiron, mean hot two-a-days
      It is August and a great time for football fans with the pros area already gracing us with our TV screens with preseason, and high school and college players all hitting the fields to begin their spring training programs. Bullard High School will scrimmage White Oak at home on Saturday, August 21.

Emerald Bay shafts Bluff with a Sunday come back
      The annual Emerald Bay Challenge with Eagles Bluff could not have had much more drama. Emerald Bay started of the day on Saturday morning taking a 23-26 lead in points over Eagle Bluff, at the Emerald Bay course, in a scramble format.
