Army 2nd Lt. Weston D. Amaya has graduated from the Army Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

Amaya has served in the military for one year.
The lieutenant's mother, Lori A. Amaya, resides in Bullard.
In 2002, Amaya graduated from Bullard High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2007 from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville.
