It is time for the 2008 Miss Cherokee County Farm Bureau contest and Talent Find contest.

These are scholarship awarded contests at County, District and State levels.

In the Queen's contest, the girls will be judged on appearance, poise, personality and speech.

The Talent Find contest is a talent-based contest and contestants will be judged on audience appeal, performance, appearance and professionalism. The winner from each contest wins a monetary prize and will represent Cherokee County Farm Bureau in the district contest in July.

From the district contest the winners advance to the state contest in December 2008.

To be eligible for these contests you must be between the ages of 16-19 as of Sept. 1, 2007, and a member of Texas Farm Bureau or a family member of TFB.
