At the State Youth and Government competition held February 1-4 in the State Courthouse in Austin, Texas, the Brook Hill School's Youth and Government attorney team made up of attorneys Chris Crist and Brandon Frisby and witnesses Yesmein Oeurghi, Jessica Johnson, and Kip Picarella were ranked among the top 10 attorney teams in the state of Texas.

The attorney team is coached by attorney and Brook Hill parent David Dobbs.

Brook Hill students Abby Clements, Jennifer Martinez, and Mason Lieberman received the honor of Distinguished Delegate at the State Youth and Government competition, an award given to only 10 percent of all Youth and Government delegates. Anna Mae Stevens also received the honor of distinguished delegate for her work at the district meet.
