CANDY CANE KICK OFF
Gymnasts from Texas East Gymnastics kicked off their Optional Competition season recently in Dallas.
Infinite Bounds of Plano hosted the Candy Cane Classic and brought in competitors form around the Metroplex as well as south Texas and even Kansas.
"The level of competition was just right given that most of our gymnasts will be competing well into April and May," said coach Martin Parsley. "We really tried to use the Candy Cane Classic as a progress report so we can better guage what skills we have command of, what combinations the judge gives us credit for and to see how we handle competition stress.
"I'm pleased with our level of preparation but as always we'll continue to work on improvements."
