Local residents conferred with degrees at UT Tyler

Seven Bullard residents were among 651 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 14 and 15.

Bullard residents and their degrees are:

Reggie Mark Smith, B.S., economics; Alaina Cannon, B.S., speech communication; Krista Rosebury, B.B.A., accounting; Timothy Louis Turner, B.B.A., management; Sally Carter Bowers, B.A., psychology; and Kathryn Wooten and Sommer Francis Hefner, B.S., nursing.

President Rodney H. Mabry gave commencement remarks and certified the degree candidates.

Presentations of degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university's colleges.

One of the 15 campuses of the UT System, UT Tyler offers excellence in teaching, research, artistic performance and community service.

More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler.
