TJC HOLDS FALL COMENCEMENT

Tyler Junior College held its fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 14 in Wagstaff Gymnasium, recognizing 374 candidates for graduation.

Associate degrees and certificates of proficiency were conferred by college president Dr. Mike Metke and TJC registrar Trey Hattaway certified the graduates.

Presenting diplomas and certificates were TJC board members David Hudson, board, as well as Lonny Uzzell, first vice president; Clint Roxburgh, second vice president; Ann Brookshire, Mike Coker, David Couch, John Hills, Dr. Joe Prud'homme, and Peggy Smith.

Dr. James A. Smith, president of the TJC Alumni Association, gave the alumni salutation; and the invocation and benediction was offered by English instructor Dr. Alan Barnes.

Degrees were conferred on:

Bullard residents: John Dixon, Leslie Scott, Nykole Kafka, Darlene Monroe, Patrick Williams and Meagan Harris

Flint residents: Christina Dailey, Jimmy Thorne, Chukwudumebi Okafor, Lauren Mirsky, Yergeniya Zhilchenkova, DeAirra Marchbanks, Jennifer Eschberger, John Finnegan, Lindsey Johnson, Daniel Hall, Joseph McGee, Melani Crawford, Phyllis Miner, Rosalinda Berver and Chris Fite
