Church to host special concert

Carol Caldwell, a member of Bullard's First Baptist Church, said she's excited to be at Sunday's service.

The Christian Country Music duo, Branded, is scheduled to perform, she said, at the church beginning at 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 9. Many who attended Bullard's recent Red, White and Blue festival, she said, probably know the duo and may have heard their work.

`They provided CDs that were handed out to all the veterans and their family members at the festival,' Caldwell said. `We're very excited to have them performing live and hope everyone will make time to attend the performance.

Branded, according to its Web site, blends together the talents of award-winning singers/songwriters, Paul Staggs and Robert Welch.

After many years of solo ministries, these men teamed up to become what promises to be one of Christian Country's premier duos.

With numerous awards to their credit, they have five top 10 songs with Christian Country Radio Broadcasting.

They were also awarded duo of the year.

Branded - Caldwell said - is in demand around the country to minister and entertain through their music.

Welch began to pursue full-time music ministry in 1996 with three solo projects to date.

Now he and Staggs can be found at many of the PRCA rodeos around Texas as well as performing at churches, concerts, fairs, retreats and many other engagements.
