Varsity volleyball finishes with hard-fought battle

The Lady Panthers varsity volleyball team had quite a season finishing with an 8- 2 record for district play and an overall record of 26-10.

The girls defeated Eustace in the Bi- District competition and ended their season in a hard-fought game against the second ranked team from White Oak in the area Playoffs.

By their individual strengths the following students were selected to the 14-AAA All-District Volleyball Team:

Most Valuable Hitter - Calli Miller

1st Team All-District -Allison Burton and Whitney Lust

2nd Team All-District -Elisia Coleman and Ashley Davis

Honorable Mention -Valarie Roberts and Ashley Ricci

Students making the District All- Academic Team maintained an average above 90 during the entire volleyball season.

These students include, Whitney Lust, Allison Burton, Angela Hill, Calli Miller, Whitney Worthen, Ashley Watkins, Ashley Davis, Madison Moore, Heather Camp, Valarie Roberts, and Elisia Coleman.
