Key Clubbers team up for good cause

The Bullard High School Key Club is teaming up with the Salvation Army of Tyler to help with the adoption of angels from the annual Angel Tree project.

Key Club members will be approaching businesses in the Bullard area to see if they would like to adopt one or more angels. Students will pick up a variety of angels and return them to the businesses who wish to participate.

Business representatives will then do their own shopping and have the gifts ready to be picked up by a Key Club member on Wednesday, Dec.12.

Key Clubbers will deliver the gifts back to the drop-off location in Tyler.

"Sometimes people want to help, but just don't have the opportunity available to them," said Key Club committee member, Calli Miller. "This way they can get involved with a good cause and we will do all the running for them."

This year, the Salvation Army has about 5,000 children on the Angel Tree.

If anyone is interested in participating and is not contacted by Wednesday of next week, they can contact Tabitha Hippler at Bullard High School 903-894-3272.
